Welcome to Robs Paintings

‘Funny Brummie Pictures’ – paintings reflecting the funny side of the city of Birmingham . Welcome to my website where you can view and order my pictures about my home city of Birmingham. As well as purchasing on line you can buy from one of my market stalls. Some people have bought several pictures and have their own little collection which look good together because of their homogeneous style and subject matter. My pictures also make ideal surprise gifts for people who have left Birmingham (how dare they!) and need to be reminded of its charms. My work  has found its way to the four corners of the earth – China, Australia, California, Africa, Acocks Green … that’s five? . On my market stalls my pictures are presently priced at £15 for a mounted A5  size print (small), fits a 10 x 8 inch frame (in a frame £20) or £25 for a mounted A4 print(medium), fits a 40 x 30 cm frame (framed £35).  All are signed on the back of the print which is on 300 gsm weight paper. I also sell Limited Edition of 100 prints of my paintings A3 size (large)which is the size of the original painting for £55 in mount and £70 framed.  In the meantime you can buy from me by browsing my website and ordering online ( format posted out is the medium A4 size in a mount)or emailing me at : robert.geoghegan@blueyonder.co.uk  Currently I have 10 of my pictures in a Limited Edition Print format  on show in the Kitchen Garden Café, York Rd, Kings Heath. I also have a selection of my plein air paintings from green spaces in Birmingham painted with a knife on display in A Painted Room on Moseley High Street.
As well as a practicing artist I teach art to adults. I have 4 classes running at present. Handsworth Wood 10.30 am – 12.30 pm Wednesday mornings ( Experienced ) and Kings Heath Park Tearooms Monday afternoons (Improvers/Experienced) 1 pm to 3 pm and Thursday mornings (Improvers) 11.30 am to 1.30 pm  and (Beginners) 2.20pm to 4.15 pm. I also am an Art worker in Birmingham schools .
